Infradigit

Project

The Upper Lazio Science Park operates as a catalyst for research, innovation and technology transfer, addressing its services to companies in the Rieti area. The facility coordinates, manages and disseminates data and knowledge, in cooperation with theUniversity of Tuscia and the Lazio Industrial Consortium. At the center of the Park’s activities is a project called “Digital Agriculture and Mechatronics Infrastructure for Agribusiness Chain Research and Innovation.”

This project is a reference platform for companies and operators who want to implement advanced solutions inAgriculture 4.0, characterized by the integration of digital technologies, automation, robotics and artificial intelligence applied to the agribusiness supply chain.

Goals and Mission

The project aims to:

  • Innovating and optimizing the agribusiness supply chain: improving the organization of production, processing, traceability and marketing of agricultural products.
  • Addressing global challenges: responding to emerging needs related to environmental sustainability, food security and natural resource management.
  • Promoting sustainable growth: developing smart and inclusive agriculture that encourages the adoption of practices that are kinder to the environment and healthier for consumers.
  • Integrating technology and expertise: enhancing agronomic techniques through automation, robotics, and artificial intelligence.
